52 Modern Manners for Today's Teens Volume 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the bestselling 52 Modern Manners for Today's Teens! This weekly flip book offers 52 MORE creative and crucial tips to help parents and teens navigate our modern world with confidence.

With eyes down and headphones on much of the time, our teens miss critical life lessons that would otherwise be picked up through daily interactions. If that's not enough, our teens are expected to figure out the dos and don'ts of an online presence and virtual connections without much guidance. There is a lot that needs to be taught deliberately to give them the best chance for success.

52 Modern Manners for Teens makes teaching these important concepts both simple and connective. Choose one tip per week to discuss; take a photo of the tip and text it to your teen; display a tip at the breakfast table and let them learn on their own; or, let them read it like a book.

These small pieces of knowledge and simple tips for being a good human will transform their life and your home.

A few favorites:

Be a Good Conversationalist: If someone asks you a question about yourself, answer the question, then ask a question in return. This back-and-forth allows the conversation to be interactive and more interesting for everyone, instead of being one-sided or self-focused. For example, if someone asks what your favorite food is, answer them, then ask, "What is your favorite food?" If you can give more than a one-word answer, or add a little insight, even better!

Celebrate Others: When something good happens to someone, celebrate with them. Don't rationalize, downplay their success, or say they just got lucky. Don't act like you deserved it more. Let them have their moment and talk it up. Give them the chance to be the star and feel the joy of accomplishment. Few things show emotional maturity more than being happy for the good fortune of others.

Give Your Attention: If you are checking out at a store, fast food place, or other retail spot, give your full attention to the person helping you. If you're on a call, end it. If you're listening to headphones, take them out. People serving you should be treated with respect, and shouldn't have to compete with whatever is on your phone.
