HI, I'M ABI

Wife, mom, content creator, and professional over-sharer.

I live in Salt Lake City, Utah with my amazing husband, Ammon, and our three incredible kids (plus one dog who thinks she’s one of the kids). In 2019, I accidentally went viral after posting a truly awful haircut (see my first saved Highlight on IG to join the joke #carolforpresident). Millions of people saw it, laughed with me, and said, “Yep… been there.” That moment launched this platform and six years later i'm still here connecting with people from around the world. The biggest lesson I've learned in this online journey are two fold: 1.) That we’re all more alike than we think and 2.) Be yourself, no matter what others think, say or do.

That’s what this space is about: connection and authenticity. They have been two pillars from the beginning and I do my very best to show up that way.

How do I show up? Welp, each week I send out two emails, one is a long-form letter, like a journal entry with no filter -- sometimes deep, sometimes ridiculous, always real. The other is a quick list (no more than 5) of favorite things I’ve found or things you’ve told me you’re loving. I also share free downloads when I can, write the occasional blog, and show up (a lot) on Instagram (find me in stories all day everyday) and sometimes TikTok.

Lately, I’ve been talking more about being a “comfort creator.” I’m not an expert in anything except being a human. I share what I’m buying, what I’m loving (or not), and I talk openly about the things that shape me—like infertility, hearing loss, family life, business, and just trying to be a person in this wild world.

I’m so grateful you’re here. I don’t take this platform lightly, and I try hard to keep it a space where we can all breathe a little deeper and laugh a little harder. Come as you are.

xo,

Abi

ABI OR CAROL?

In 2019, I got a bad haircut that went viral on Instagram. My 75-year-old “Carol Cut”, as I like to call it, resonated with so many people, and suddenly, my little following grew into a huge community of fun-loving friends!

It was never really about the haircut, though. It was my reaction to the haircut that stuck with people. The way I laughed at myself instead of crying and rolled with the punches. Because haven't we all been there? You probably didn't get a Carol Cut, but we've all had our share of unexpected disasters! It was a good reminder that we're each in control of how we respond to life's curve balls.

Some things are just too personal to share on Instagram. My weekly email is my favorite way to connect with all my friends. I share what’s going on behind the scenes and reveal my deeper thoughts and feelings about life as an imperfect mom, wife, entrepreneur, Christian, and more. I love when you email me back and share your thoughts and feelings too.
